Greetings!
Welcome to the Knitting Ninnies little corner of the interwebs.
We are a group of yarn crafters, based in Wallsend in the North East of England.
We began life by meeting at the local library several days a week, and have decided to also meet on an evening so that the workers in the group can get their yarny fix.
So we decided to take over the local Wetherspoons once a week on a Tuesday evening. Good food, good booze, good company, and yarn. What more could a person ask for?
Today was our inaugural meeting. A good turn out of nine ladies.
We also had a bit of a surprise in the form of discount coupons for each of us from the local yarn shop, Wool Works! http://www.thewoolworks.co.uk/ They are a lovely shop, very friendly, and very reasonable prices. Go visit!
All the ladies thoroughly enjoyed the night, and we will definitely be meeting again.
It has been decided to take a £1.50 sub each week, which will be collected, then put towards a day trip to a yarn festival or such like. What FUN!
